Cindy Williams at Create Studio in Westlake is continuing her Girls Club Strong events through the summer. “Our mission is to help our families raise the next generation of empowered young women,” she says. Here is the list of events below:If you visit the website and sign up for the newsletter, you can receive these notices right in your inbox! (I’m sad that I missed Baby Goat Yoga.) This is NOT a sponsored post. I think it’s a great idea and I want to make sure more people know about it!

Summer Camp Fair

Sports Camp Heaven: Oaks Christian Sports Camps

Have I got a treat for you, parents. Oaks Christian Sports Camps, which is already a wonderful summer camp and priced right (under $300 per week, can you believe that?!), is offering a rare discount to readers of this website. If you register through this link, use the discount code AHM to get $25 off registration.

David Barra, OCSC director, is excited to have launched aquatics and track and field to their summer camp in recent years. “This is the second year for aquatics camp and it aims to introduce kids to competitive swimming, water polo, and dive,” he says.  “It’s my favorite camp we offer because it helps many kids find a place that may not have had one before in the area of athletics.  It often helps kids find a sport they can pursue in high school. Team sports have become so incredibly competitive that many kids need this other option going into high school.  Track and field does the same thing offering kids another option going into high school.”

After all, sports should be fun, right? Right.

Oaks Christian’s campus and facilities are top notch, and this summer camp price, with lunch included, can’t be beat. Check them out right now on their website!

See the website for summer camp schedules – not all sports are offered all summer. I am excited to have my kids attend because otherwise they will complain about the heat and stay inside and play video games or watch YouTube all summer. Is that just my kids or do you have that problem, too?
